1.                  NRO have succeeded in organizing over One Thousand Two-Hundred and Twenty Seven (1,227) Fishermen along the largest manmade Lake in the world known as the VOLTA LAKE (VL) in Ghana West Africa. These fishing folks are noted in using Child Labourers (CL) in most of their fishing business which is against international norms. So, NRO have taking it upon itself as a task to organized and educate these fishermen the act of modern and environmentally friendly Aquaculture. These we believe will empower them financially and broaden their mindset to operate their business scientifically.
These Twenty-five (25) years project started in 21st March 2007 and now that the organizational structures have been laid we look forward to set-up the Aquaculture training centre in 2010 at Akateng in the Eastern Region of Ghana. And start our 50 Cages Demonstration Aqua Farm there and give 100 or more pilot Cages to the fishermen on credit bases as a revolving scheme.
